"La Source is an amazing place and whilst I normally like to hop somewhere different around the world every holiday, I could stay there time after time. It is almost impossible to fault, except that, despite much fun exercising, I still gained weight.
And I would like to thank you for picking up my last minute request and just sorting everything out. The lack of drama was most welcome and everything worked perfectly."

"Thanks I had a great holiday....! I did give La Source some feedback part way through, I know I have been spoilt with my Chiva Som experience (and I would encourage you to keep me posted on any special deals going on there as I am keen to return at somepoint!) but it just felt a little 3 star rather than 4/5. To be fair when I gave them feedback they acted upon it really quickly...here you go:
- great location, so handy being so close to the airport and you wouldn't know because the take off and landing is in a different direction
- bit of a bore setting down in Barbados when en route, especially as it is a chaotic badly organised hand over with your bags being checked twice....surely there is an easier way?
- recommend the flight times with newer airplanes as the journey was much more comfortble going out than returning from barbados so watch that with other guests you book
- the spa was a disappointment...no music in the rooms, no atmosphere and a bit of a mentality that this is a "free" treatment and therefore they feel very mechanical/regimented - to be fair the spa director reacted to my feedback and I think made it his mission to ensure every room i went in to thereafter had flowers/music/ambience! I would encourage anyone to feedback during their holiday rather than after, although I felt like a watched women I do really appreciate how responsive they were.
- bedrooms were clean, good size, nice bathroom, good products, ecological principles, beachfront location great
- dinner service was slow, food very tasty but finding bones in every fish dish was disappointing - they responded to that ...actually everybody became much more attentive. My point was that friendly service is not quite the same as attentive service - leaving me without a drink for 20 minutes is a real NO NO, espeically when you are dining alone ;-)
It is great for solo travellers, and you can get as much or as little involved as you like, just like you told me.
Lots of activities and sometimes just not enough time in the day to do everything you would like
I wish I had had 10 days there, 14 might have been too much.
Thoroughly recommend that people go out on the 4 hour island tour, because although you learn a lot about nutmeg (perhaps too much) you get to see just how beautiful Grenada is....La Source is just the tip of the iceberg. Depsite some disappointments I would definitely recomend to others..who knows one day I may return.
Especially great for keen water sports enthusiasts.
Now for Essential Escapes.....and in particular you Sam!
.....always reassuring, you make booking a solo holiday, which is a daunting process, feel much less so
.....your advice is always spot on, you seem to understand what I need and what I would like and I appreciate that
.....would encourage you to keep in touch regularly with similar holidays/offers because I'd trust you to advise
.....I'd tell anyone to deal with Sam at EE......especially if you want a holiday destination to remember, and a travel advisor who takes time to understand your needs and likes!
Thanks again, I really do appreciate all of your help and despite the points above I had the best time!"
